What is PLAZA Linseed Oil ?

Linseed oil, also known as flaxseed oil, yellowish oil obtained from the dried, ripened seeds of the flax plant (Linum usitatissimum). Linseed oil is a drying oil, meaning it can polymerize into a solid form. Due to its polymer-forming properties, linseed oil can be used on its own or blended with combinations of other oils, resins or solvents as an impregnator, drying oil finish or varnish in wood finishing, as a pigment binder in oil paints, as a plasticizer and hardener in putty.

PLAZA Purified linseed oil reduces the consistency of oil color and slows down drying time. In its raw state, it gives color a high gloss.

When diluted 50/50 with turpentine or low odour thinner, it creates an excellent medium for most types of painting.

It dries more quickly and completely and forms the slightly glossy finish that showcases wood perfection. The oil gently penetrates wood, effectively forming a tough finish to seal and protect the wood’s surface. PLAZA Linseed Oil is a Light Yellow colored oil having a distinctively smell. It is very water resistant and also a rust inhibitor.

Application of PLAZA Linseed Oil:

Easy to Use

STEP 1. Ensure the surface is clean & dry before application.STEP 2. Apply oil liberally by using either a cloth or brush and wipe over the wooden surface following the direction of the grain, leave for 20 minutes and remove excess oil after saturation.STEP 3. Leave for 24 hours for the oil to dry & apply a second coat wiping off any excess after 20 minutes.The surface can be gently rubbed with fine steel wool in between coats to improve final results.STEP 4. Apply a final coat & leave for 48-72 hours
